Due to high demand for firewood this season, we have sold out of our huge inventory of seasoned firewood. The logs we are currently processing are 8 months to a year old and is being sold only after a week or two of being busted and stacked. Since this wood is coming from aged logs it will dry a lot faster than it would from fresh-cut trees, but it will still need some time to air dry. This wood is great for a wood stove or heater, but it's not the best for a fireplace; although it will burn.
We process firewood 5 to 6 days a week year round. This summer we added a commercial wood buster that increased our production by 3 to 4 times, it still wasn't enough to keep up with demand. We have now added a firewood processor. With good logs, every 4 seconds it can saw and bust a block of firewood sending it up a conveyor belt into a waiting dump truck. (Video forth coming.) Hopefully this time next year we will have plenty of inventory and will never be out of seasoned firewood again. That being said, it's always a good practice to buy your firewood in the summer months, so it can season at your home.

We store our wood in log lengths for 8 to 12 months before it is processed. After the wood is split, we store it in cages for 2 to 3 months with a top covering to protect it from rain. It is stored in the open air and sun until it is below 20% moisture content. The seasoned wood is then moved to an open sided shed on a concrete floor until it is sold. The biggest log you can send for pulp wood is about 24 inches in diameter, about 30 inches for the sawmill, and about 24 inches for our firewood processor. The big stuff is hard on equipment and even harder on our backs! That’s why we got this new cone splitter to break-down the big stuff into more manageable pieces. We can split the logs and chunks down to where our splitter or processor can handle them. It makes unmarketable wood useable, makes us more efficient, and helps us work safer!
We will really be putting out the wood now!
All prices on the website are for picked up at our yard. Many factors go into your delivery price. How far do we have to travel to get to you, how far does the firewood need to be carried, how many steps, etc. Firewood delivery can be very labor intensive and that varies by customer. That is why we can't put a set price here on the website. We believe you will find our delivery prices are competitive with other firewood providers. Call for pricing.
